PRESS RELEASE | EEI Power and PCPC Strengthen Manufacturing Sustainability Through Strategic Energy Audit
Mandaluyong, Philippines — EEI Power Corporation has completed a Level 2 Energy Audit for Plastic Container Packaging Corporation (PCPC), one of the country's top producers of plastic containers and PET bottles. The engagement, finalized with the Certificate of Completion issued on May 23, 2025, reflects both companies' commitment to reducing energy costs and advancing sustainability in the manufacturing sector.
The audit evaluated PCPC's energy performance across its full production operations in alignment with the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act (RA 11285). The result shows clear, actionable insights that could lead to a guaranteed 5% reduction in electricity consumption, with potential savings of up to 15% based on operational improvements.
As a 24/7 manufacturing facility, PCPC consumes over 3 million kWh of electricity annually. EEI Power's research data showcased that system-level strategies can significantly improve energy efficiency, resulting in long-term savings.
PCPC expressed satisfaction with the audit process and results, pointing out the practical implementation of the recommendations. The project demonstrated again that EEI Power understands the needs of large-scale manufacturers, an insight that informed his tailored energy solutions.
Powering the Future of Philippine Manufacturing
Through this project, EEI Power demonstrates once again its assistance as a partner to energy-conscious manufacturers who want to safeguard their operations in the future. The audit offers PCPC a strategy to curb consumption, manage costs, and stay abreast of new energy mandates while also achieving environmental objectives.
This partnership underscores PCPC and EEI Power's shared operational and compliance efficiency and sustainability values over a more extended period. As a result of this collaboration, both companies show the economic benefits of enhancing energy performance and prove that energy efficiency is an investment rather than a business expense.
